From the start until the upcoming PG 2024 in Paris, Egypt was always participating at the Paralympic Sitting volleyball tournament. Only time EGY men were not active at the Paralympic Tournament was in 1996. This tournament should be the last time we have seen SWE and NOR in action. NOR was playing the final, but was beaten by IRI. Out of the 12 teams, 4 teams made their debut at the Paralympics. It were the teams of UKR, RUS, ARG and KAZ. For ARG it were their only Paralympic Sitting volleyball tournament, and KAZ will be back again in 2024 in Paris.
