Only time EGY men were not active at the Paralympic Tournament was in 1996. This tournament should be the last time we have seen SWE and NOR in action. NOR was playing the final, but was beaten by IRI. Out of the 12 teams, 4 teams made their debut at the Paralympics. 1996-Atlanta Blaze Paralympic Mascot

Blaze the phoenix was chosen as the mascot for the Atlanta 1996 Paralympic Games, because he is not only a symbol of renewal, perseverance and determination, but also because of the significance of the phoenix as a symbol for the city of Atlanta. Created by Trevor Stone Irvin.
